Greetings from the parish office! My name is Karen Wieser. I began working at the parish office in March of 2009. I am the second of three daughters born to Anton & Roberta Buresh. In 1983 I met my husband, Steve Wieser and we were married in 1986. We have lived on a farm just south of Humphrey for thirty three years and recently moved into Humphrey. To this union was born five children, Michele, Mitchell, Aaron, Spencer and John. Our family has grown over the past year as they are all married and we welcomed an awesome son in-law and four awesome daughter in-laws! We have thirteen grandchildren.

Steve and our children are all graduates of Humphrey St. Francis School.

In my free time I enjoy reading, strolling along the country roads and the peace filled country along with spending time with our family.

I am truly blessed to be part of the St. Francis team awesome and look forward to meeting you!

Hi! I’m Lisa Krings, bookkeeper for St. Francis Church, School, Daycare and Cafeteria. I began my position as parish bookkeeper in the summer of 1999, and I still can’t believe how blessed I am to be a part of the mission here at St. Francis.

I grew up on a farm just south of Humphrey and attended St. Francis Church (as did my parents, grandparents and great-grandparents) and graduated from St. Francis School.

I married Andy Krings in the early 80s. God has truly blessed us with three wonderful daughters. Our family continues to grow and now includes three sons-in-law and grandchildren, some of whom now also attend St. Francis, the fifth generation in my family to attend St. Francis School!

My greatest joy is found in continuing to learn about my Catholic faith and spending time with my family. I also like to read, play games, and do puzzles.

My greatest blessings are my relationship with Christ, my family and friends, and walking through the door of the parish office each weekday to do the best I can and to spread the message of Christ. I believe this is where God wants me to be.

Greetings to you from the Alumni and Development Office! My name is Missy Braun I am a 2001 graduate of St. Francis. My husband, Chris, and I have been married for 10 years and have six wonderful children: Gage, Grace, Olivia, Lainey, Reid, and Blaise.

I have been serving in this role since 2010. It is a true joy to be a part of the wonderful things happening at St. Francis. In the Alumni and Development Office, I get to learn about our alumni through news and our annual alumni banquet.

I also assist our fundraising efforts with the alumni appeal, a parish and school wish list, and our gala event, Blue and White Night, just to name a few. We have wonderful volunteers that also assist my office with parish and alumni mailings.

I am so grateful to have amazing alumni and benefactors to support our mission here at St. Francis. I thank you for your continued prayers and support and am grateful to God for His many blessings.

My name is Katie Morfeld and I am the Bulletin Editor for St. Francis Church. I began working at the parish office in the beginning of 2006, where I eventually became the composer/editor of the weekly bulletin.

I grew up in Humphrey and am a fourth generation graduate from St. Francis Schools. I now live in Humphrey with my husband, Brandon, and my three children, Lexi, Ellie and Will, who also attend St. Francis.

My passions are my family, art (children’s illustrations, pencil drawings, painting, etc.), and studying my Catholic faith.

My name is Diane Zach and I have lived and been a part of the Humphrey Community and St. Francis Parish my entire life.  I grew up on my parents’ farm just south of Humphrey and graduated from St. Francis School.  I have been married to Dale Zach since 1976 and live south of St. Mary Church.  God has blessed us with four wonderful children, and most of our free time is spent with them and our grandchildren.

Growing up on a farm was an adventure, with lots of hard work but lots of fun.  My parents instilled strong values in me, including the importance of taking care of each other.  My father, Gene Zach, was instrumental in my becoming a caregiver.

I have worked as a geriatric caregiver most of my adult life in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and as a hospice care provider.  I feel incredibly blessed and excited to serve the people of St. Francis Parish as a pastoral minister.

Pastoral Minister

I was raised in Elgin. Attended St. Boniface Grade and Pope John High School until Sophomore year. Family moved to Columbus and I finished last two years at Columbus Scotus. I moved to Humphrey in 1974 and was employed by Ford Dealerships and local parts distributor. Began working for St. Francis Parish/Schools in 1994 and am currently employed there. I enjoy collecting metal lunch pails, older table radios and other odds and ends as a hobby.  I have served on the St. Francis School Board, Humphrey City Council, coached little league baseball and softball and was on the St. Francis 500 committee. Currently I volunteer on the Humphrey Rescue Squad and have served for the last 33 years, 25 as Rescue Captain.

My wife and I have four children: Justin and wife Melissa, children Allison and Jack live in Overland Park Kansas . Jared and wife Tiff,  children Alivia, Preston and Devin live in Humphrey as do our son Jesse and daughter Jennessa. My wife Jane has been employed at Lindsay Mfg. for the last 42 years.
