Mrs. Jennifer Dunn

Principal

Mrs. Dunn has been in education since 2001.  In the nine years as a teacher she taught fourth grade, a combination first-second grade, first grade, and a combination kindergarten-first grade.  In the fall of 2010, Mrs. Dunn began her first year at St. Francis as the K-12 principal.

She and her husband are blessed with four children, one daughter and three sons.  The family’s favorite pastime is camping whether it is tenting in the backyard or traveling thousands of miles away.  Mrs. Dunn appreciates the outdoors, nature, and reading.

Mr. Eric Kessler

M.S. in Educational Administration, Wayne State College

Mr.  Kessler is a mathematics teacher at Humphrey St. Francis.  He is the head coach of the football, basketball,  and golf team.  He also serves as the athletic director.  Mr.  Kessler is a St. Francis alumnus and has been teaching at his alma mater since 2001.

Mrs. Missy Braun

M.S. in K-12 School Counseling, Chadron State College, 2016

Mrs. Missy Braun is the K-12 School Counselor at St. Francis Schools. After graduating from St. Francis in 2001, she received a Bachelor’s Degree. from Doane College in K-12 Physical Education and a Biology endorsement. She has been in teaching full time for 6 years with one year of substitute teaching. In August of 2016 she received her Master’s Degree in K-12 School Counseling from Chadron State College. Besides being in the school system, she is also the Development Director and Alumni Relations Coordinator at St. Francis and is a certified Volleyball Official in Nebraska. Missy is married and has six children. She enjoys spending time with family and scrapbooking in her spare time.

Miss Stacie Baumgart

Miss Stacie Baumgart is the second grade teacher at St. Francis School. She has been in education since 2006. She started teaching at Boys Town in Omaha Nebraska for one year and has been with St. Francis since.  She enjoys taking walks, reading, going to sporting events and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Sheila Hassenstab

Grade School Secretary

Mrs. Sheila Hassenstab has been the grade school secretary since August 1, 1995.  Her husband, Tim, is Manager of A&H Building & Supply in Humphrey.  She has 4 children and 2 grandchildren.  All of her children have graduated from Humphrey St. Francis.  She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, walking the family dog, Duke, and playing tennis on a league in Columbus.

Mrs. Terri Wilshusen

High School Secretary

Mrs. Terri Wilshusen has been the high school secretary since March 1, 1991 and also is one of the school’s bus drivers. Her husband, Russ, is a sales representative for Schnair Sales & Service. She has a son, daughter-in-law and 2 granddaughters in Lincoln. She is proud to be a St. Francis graduate and a descendant of charter members of St. Francis Parish in 1883; Gerhart and Frank Brockhaus. She loves her job at St. Francis and feels she has the best job in the world!

Ms. Jennifer Tuma is the first grade teacher at St Francis School. She has been in education since 2014, with both years of teaching being at St. Francis. She is also the junior high cross country coach as well as an assistant coach for varsity track. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and watching sports (especially Husker baseball).

Mrs. Amy Baumgart is the third grade teacher at St. Francis School.  She has been in education for 13 years; 10 years as a 2nd grade teacher at NPS and 3 years here at St. Francis.  She is married to Shane Baumgart who is the yard supervisor at Mead Lumber in Norfolk and has four children. She enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Miss Schrage is the fifth grader teacher and assistant high school volleyball coach. She has been in education since she graduated college in 2013. She enjoys the company of her family and friends, being outdoors, movies, and sports.

Mrs. Jen Nolan is the sixth grade teacher at St. Francis School.  She is married to Kevin Nolan, who is the manager of Parks of Nebraska, LLC.  Jen and Kevin have two children, Tre and Paige.  In her free time, Mrs. Nolan enjoys camping, golfing, walking, spend time with family and friends, and watching her favorite teams (the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the St. Louis Cardinals) play.

Mrs. Julie Huettner

Education and Training

Julie Huettner is our grade school librarian. She started in 2003 and completed her Library and Information Services Degree from University of Nebraska-Omaha and Central Community College-Columbus. She is a proud graduate of St. Francis High School and also serves on the Catholic Schools Week Committee. Mrs. Huettner teaches library skills to grades Kindergarten through 6th grade and is also a reading and VoWac Para educator for the Kindergarten and 1st Grades. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and antique shopping. She loves to spend time with her grandchildren.

Mr. Korus began teaching art classes at Humphrey St. Francis in 1981, where he is also the head volleyball coach, and head boys and girls track coach. He enjoys extended family, alone time, and solving puzzles.

Miss Vitoria Wiese teaches Junior High and Freshmen Theology at St. Francis School. She began teaching at O’Neill St. Mary’s where she was also a youth minister. In 2017 she moved back to her home town of Lindsay and continued teaching junior high and high school theology classes. At this time she also began directing One Act plays, and she continues to direct for the Holy Family St. Francis team. Her favorite classes to instruct are classes on prayer. Miss Wiese loves spending time with her family, especially her many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Tim Wiese is a 7-12 Mathematics Teachers at St. Francis School, assistant One-Act Director, a Sophomore Class Sponsor, and Head Robotics Coach. He has been in education since 2014, all at St. Francis. He lives on a farm north of Lindsay where he farms on the side with his father, Steve, and brother, Alex. His mother, Melissa, is an X-Ray Tech at Boone County Health Center in Albion, and sister, Olivia, is an ER Nurse at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. He enjoys being outside, sports, movies, and tinkering with projects in his garage.

I am originally from Sidney, IA and graduated from Peru State College (1993-BAed-Social Science) and the University of Nebraska at Kearney (2000-MAed-Curriculum and Instruction). Since the fall of 1993, I have taught at Humphrey St. Francis. In 2005, I was named Omaha Archdiocesan Rural Teacher of the Year.

I am the mother of two and married to a social studies teacher. The social sciences have been my passion since I was in grade school. I owe much of that devotion to my parents who loved taking our family on “field trips” to regional museums and to several great teachers that I had growing up that instilled the love of learning.  It is a privilege and an honor to be an educator.

Mrs. Tina Schumacher has been teaching English at St. Francis since 2003.  She continues to teach high school English as well as maintains the high school library collection. Mrs. Schumacher also directs the one act play for competition in the fall.  She enjoys reading, writing, golfing, and spending time with her husband and her five children.

Mrs. Jeanne Brockhaus

Preschool

Jeanne Brockhaus graduated from Lindsay Holy Family High School.  She then graduated from Briar Cliff College with a Bachelors Degree in psychology and elementary education.  Jeanne taught for 3 years at Lindsay Holy Family before taking time off to raise her family.  She was a substitute teacher and daycare provider during this time.  Jeanne started working as an aide for St. Francis Preschool in 2011 and became head teacher in 2013. Jeanne continues to substitute teach.  Jeanne and Mark have five children and one grandson.

Mrs. Natalie Ramakers has an Associate in Early Childhood Education. She has taught at Holy Family (5 years) & first year at St Francis.

Food Services Supervisor

Mrs. Rebecca Classen is the Food Service Manager at HSF, a position she has held since 2015. She is married to Bob and they have 6 children: Austin, Evan, Kolbe, Isaac, Emma and Clara.

Rebecca has a college degree in nursing. She has a passion for health, fitness, cooking and loves to spend time with her family.
