Pastoral Planning Announcement
The archbishop has reached a decision regarding the future of Catholic education in our new family of parishes. All parishioners and school families of both St. Francis and Holy Family will receive a letter from him in the next couple of days announcing his decision. Since the archbishop’s decision will only impact Holy Family and St. Francis, all other parishes in our family will not be receiving this letter.
While the archbishop’s letter will offer direction regarding the future of St. Francis and Holy Family, it will undoubtedly raise many more questions than it answers. Those questions will likely not have immediate answers. In fact, some of the more important questions may not have answers for some time. Additionally, more direction will be needed from the archdiocese on the path forward. We will update the ‘frequently asked questions’ page as answers become available and decisions are made.
Uncertainty always provides the devil and his demons opportunities to sew discord. They do this by convincing us to live in fear of the future rather than trust in the presence of our Lord in the here and now. Please pray for the administration, faculty, staff, students, alumni, benefactors and all others connected with both schools.
In Christ,
Fr. Olsen
